Gurdwara Registrar of Marriage Office
Ramgarhia Gurdwara Coventry was one of the first Gurdwareh to be granted a Civil Marriage Licence in the year of 1982. As a result, we are able to legally register the Civil Marriage of a Man and Woman, provided an Anand Karaj Ceremony takes place on the same day at the Gurdwara Sahib.
If you wish your son or daughter’s marriage to be registered at Ramgarhia Gurdwara Coventry, please contact a marriage registrar on the ground floor of the Gurdwara Sahib during the hours of 10:30am – 12:30pm on Sundays.
Please note, this notification must be made in person as soon as possible (as delays for appointments with the local authority to obtain a marriage licence can take as long as 6 months). Ideally, you should notify the Gurdwara’s marriage registrar at the time of booking the spiritual ceremony (Lavaa).
Generally, a Marriage Licence granted by The Local Authority, is valid for up to 12 months from the date of issue.
